I’m sitting up in bed at 0530 listening to the news and surfing the weather sites on the internet ahead of setting off for the ferry from Portsmouth to St Malo.
Tomorrow we begin the 1000 mile ride from St Malo to Nice. The French equivalent of Lands End to John O Groats. We’ve trained hard, got the best bikes and kit we can afford and have spent many hours planning.
