Is it me or is Autumn going on forever this year, not that I’m complaining? I just seem to remember in previous years as soon as the countryside turned a beautiful shade of golden browns several storms blew in from the Atlantic and swiftly removed all the leaves from the trees. This year we’ve had rain, oh yes we’ve had rain alright, but I can’t remember the last time us folks in Lincolnshire had a really good Autumnal gale. Consequently, these pictures, taken in the last fortnight, show that many of the trees are still clinging to their leaves. Long may it last I’m no fan of the bare skeleton outline of the winter woods.
