I’ve been delivering to the Sports Direct Distribution Centre at Shirebrook a little recently. The place is huge and has several different roads, a couple of roundabouts and a mini one way system.
As soon as a vehicle enters the site it has to drive at all times with its hazard lights on. When I asked why, I was told it’s for health and safety reasons. The problem is it’s actually more dangerous because nobody driving knows what the other vehicles are doing because nobody can indicate…! It’s health and safety craziness that needs quashing by common sense.
