I have just dropped my daughter off at her boyfriends and driven the 15 miles back home. All the way back I had the window wide open with the cool air blowing over my face, the heater on my feet to keep my body warm and 80s music on the stereo. The sun had set, but there was still a slither of orange and blue on the horizon and, as I drove up the lane home, an owl swooped low over the hedge tops in front of me. What an absolutely glorious evening to be alive in the world.
